Hi Everyone,

I hope all had a great time. Jordan, the pics are AWSOME! The ship appears to be as beautiful as described. Chris and I just returned home from Ft. Lauderdale ourselves, and although we were at the port several times, we did not get a chance to see the Magica in person. (too busy at the Hard Rock casino)

We did get to spend most of the week in the warm weather (we were there from Tuesday until today) and even did a little "mini" cruise on the Discovery to Grand Bahama island. We stayed overnight at the Lucaya resort and Marina right in the center of Port Lucaya. Very nice accomodations.

The ship itself is nothing like a real cruise, but it is only a 5 hour trip from Fla. to Bahamas, and for the $133.00 each we paid, was well worth it.

(round trip included 3 meals, Breakfast and lunch on the way there, then dinner on the way home)

Jordan, I hope by now you received your luggage, and everything is in order. Thanks so much for posting the pics, I know we would have had a great time on this ship with all of you. In the group photo, I recognize your family from some of the other pics, and I assume that you are the one wearing the "CC" shirt, I also can identify Mark and his wife Sharon (by the hat, of course) but I was wondering if you might be able to identify the rest of the folks who were there. If anyone in the photo wants to i.d. themselves, please do. I would appreciate it! after talking with all of you for so long, I would like to be able to put a face with the names.

I have a ton of stuff to do, as I am sure all of you do also, I will check back in later. Can't wait to see more photos, and read all of the reviews.

I am glad that you were able to get away and enjoy yourselves.

We finally did get our luggage this morning at around 9am. I took over 1000 pictures. I deleted some and came up with about 860 of usable pictures. I will load some more once i move them to my desktop computre from my Laptop. At about 5MB per picture (large files for pictures) I had to load onto laptop twice a day. It was easier that way anyway since I would remember where they were.

I see that I have some pictures doubled on the webshots site. I will have to look through and remove some of the doubles. I was in such a hurry to load them up that I got a couple twice.

Jordon your pics are Excellent! Thanks!

I assume you are using a digital camera with an underwater containment apparatus?

What cam do you have and what do you use for the underwater shots?

You took some some shots from the front of the boat. Was that from your room or from walking there. If it was from walking there, was it from a 'crew only' area? It appears so, because that was the area we were asked to leave from when we were eventually found. Did you find it on your own or use my instructions.

Safe travels back home.

Jim,

I was using a Pentax WPI 6.0MP digital camera. This camera is sealed on it's own and does not require a casing.

As for the location of the deck area that I took the bow pictures from-

i took most of them from the deck in front of my cabins. Deck #6 right on the bow. #6202 & #6204.

I have put a picture of the deck and the one below it ( deck 5) which was sometimes a crew deck. Most mornings it was not marked as a crew deck and I was able to get some nice shots coming into port. The picture that shows the crew deck and jacuzzi was on deck 4 and was labeled as such. (signs everywhere thhis is probablly the deck you were on)

In order t find this deck all you have to do is go to deck 6 all the way to the front and exit on the right or left. You can then go down or up from the deck to 5 or 7.

I can't beleive that my pictures have had 3800 hits. Someone must have linked them somewhere. I hope that they gave me the credit for them.

It was nice to meet everyone. I also know that there were people on board that we did not meet. So feel free to sign-in and let us know.

Again Welcome Back.

Hi Jordan and all Magica 3/26 folks.

Sorry I missed the get together. I put the info down on a little sticky and then got confused (wine???). I tried one small bar up top but did not see many people gathered there. Wish I had worn a red ribbon.

We happen to be Costa lovers and, although this was not our favorite ship, we had a wonderful time and met many, many nice people that we spent time with. Also, our observations were that we saw more happy people than we have on other trips. I wish more folks could appreciate Costa's idea of fun. Although we are not participants in Costa's many activities, they do a great job of helping people to have fun.

Thank you for sharing your photos. You did a great job.

Jeanne (and Michael)
