Quito Airport ready to resume operations on June 1

Quito Airport has announced that it is working with the airlines and airport community to resume operations on June 1 if given the green light to do so by the Ecuadorian government.

The airport, which notes that it has remained open and operational for cargo and repatriation flights for Ecuadorians and foreign nationals throughout the coronavirus crisis, reveals that it been preparing to “adapt to a new way of traveling, with new processes and protocols to care for passengers and airport collaborators” for the past few weeks.

That's a pretty substantial condition, there...

Will anyone be visiting Galapagos this year?

We moved ours to next May.  We do flights on our own and will fly round trip Boston/Quito as it works better for us than Silversea's Quito on the way down and Guayaquil on the way back.  I would think that Silversea might decide to do roundtrip Quito when they resume.  This will be our only cruise until after a vaccine comes out and we are hoping a vaccine will be available by next May.
