When do you book your shore excursions?

A few things to bear in mind.

1. If you book excursions in advance you cannot use any On Board Credit (OBC) that you may have but you do get your Peninsular discount.

2. If you book on board you will find that the excursion will usually be more expensive but you can use your OBC and Peninsular discount.

I do a few P&O excursions normally for places far away from port. I do some wondering on my own or get the local HoHo’s. If I do book P&O trips I book them as soon as I see them, can be as much as 6 months in advance.

I don’t see why people are smug that they don’t do P&O trips. I do lots of advance looking online and planning but sometimes it’s just easier to book a tour. If someone wants to pay for a tour why shouldn’t they?

After a while you get to know what is a ‘rubbish’ trip eg read how long it takes to get to a place and you might find you only have an hour or so there or more time for shopping than you’d like.
