Moxy hotel in Southampton by Marriott

New hotel about a half a mile from the Holiday Inn. Wonder if anyone has stayed there. I don't think it has been open long. Very small rooms and limited food but as a category 2, you only need 15,000 points to stay there. Will definitely consider it for our 2021 cruise out of Southampton. The Marriott Meon Valley, which is 14 miles away, has been sold to Britannia hotels. Was not happy staying there as no Air Conditioning and too far from cruise port. Let me know what you think. 2021 is so far away too early to even considering booking but fun to look at.

I'm a Marriott "Lifetime Platinum" member, so I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels. I've only stayed at one Moxy property (in Scottsdale, Arizona), and it was fine for one night but really not my kind of place. I'm 72, and the whole vibe of the Moxy brand is geared to a much younger guest. But I'd stay in one again without hesitation if the price was right and the alternatives limited.

Same age but it is close to the port andI have Marriott points

From what I can see it does not have car parking so no good for me for my future pre cruise stays.

Stayed at one at Milan airport.Loved it.Although very trendy ,it has a very relaxed vibe.There is food available although self serve vending machine type  food with a microwave available and one or two hot cooked options. Food and drink available 24 hours a day . I wouldn't hesitate to stay at a Moxy again.

Its close to the port. Its interesting that Marriott would locate a Moxy there as most cruisers are not young.
