GottaKnowWhen Posted November 11, 2020 #1 Posted November 11, 2020 We are booked for our first Windstar Cruise(s) January 16 2021 from San Juan, returning to and departing from San Juan Jan 23, returning to and departing from San Juan Jan 30, returning to San Juan and disembarking Feb 6. The first two weeks are booked as one two-week voyage, and then the third week is booked as a single week. A. As I understand the CDC guidelines, you may only be doing one-week cruises. Would this impact our two-week + one-week = three-week trip? B. If you will be requiring testing/screening before each embarkation, how will that be handled for those like us who embarked the previous week and have now been abroad one or two weeks? Best of luck as you work through the complexities of dealing with covid-19! We are very much looking forward to our first Windstar experience. Stan
silander3 Posted November 13, 2020 #2 Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) In line with this query from GottaKnowWhen, we loved the back-to-back cruise for 14 days in the Lesser Antilles on Feb 2020 and would love similar next year, but a different itinerary. Please schedule accordingly. 7 days is not enough time 🙂 Thanks, Olli Edited November 13, 2020 by silander3
Windstar Cruises Posted November 24, 2020 #3 Posted November 24, 2020 Hi GottaKnowWhen, Our cruises in January 2021 are canceled. We are working on deployment changes due to the new CDC guidelines for cruises out of U.S. ports. The limitation of 7 days for cruises in the U.S. does cause challenges for us since many of our itineraries are longer. For back-to-back cruises in the U.S., we’ll need to validate with the CDC over time.
Windstar Cruises Posted November 24, 2020 #4 Posted November 24, 2020 Hi Silander3, Well, I hope you can find another itinerary you will enjoy. We have many to choose from in 2021 and 2022.
