Tranquility Base Posted December 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2020 Considering a cruise from Japan through Alaska in May ( obviously not next year ). Because we expect it to be a bit chilly when underway during the passage, we would like to be on the sunny side of the ship when Eastbound. I was thinking this would be the starboard side. Any thoughts on this please ? Thanks.

bonsai3s Posted December 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2020 Sigh...Fond memories of our transpacific sailing, Tianjin to Alaska, with stops in Japan...this was pre-Covid back in 2014. It was on, the now infamous Diamond Princess. So many things to see and experience at each port. In the end, we were welcomed in Seward, Alaska with several feet of snow!...yes, snow. Passengers (and crew members) were on the top deck, all smiling, as they experienced the wonderful sight of falling snow......a nice respite from the high heat and humidity of Southeast Asia.
