Drink Package - when is best time to purchase

Hi there we are booked on a Cruise out of Brisbane in November  Currently the Deluxe Drink package is $67- per day   From experience when is the best time to buy the drink package?  Does it get more expensive the closer the cruise date?  Thanks

Before the cruise. Even with discounts it is more onboard. Keep watching your cruise ( after you’ve logged into the site) and watch for sales. You can usually find anywhere from 10-40% off prior to sailing, and even if you buy one you can cancel it and then re buy it at the better deal.

I may add, if you purchase drink package through your cruise planner and the price falls below your original purchase price, you can cancel that purchase and re-buy. Keep in mind the refund takes around 5 business days.

I have done this several times before.

Hi Aussie Jeep, this was a good question to ask as we were wondering the same thing.  Thanks also to SuitesRbest and Diego Da Monkey for their replies.  We are booked on Quantum of The Seas sailing from Brisbane on November 8 this year?  Which cruise are you going on?

We are on B2B sailings on the Quantum of the seas, NZ then QLD Coast in January/February 2022.

 (if the freeking Oz Gov open the ports to local and NZ cruising)

Purchased Drink pack for QLD coast for $67 per a day on the 2021 New Years sale and it has not got anywhere near that since. I check this almost daily.
