Looking for a Miami hotel for two nights stay prior to cruise. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Howdy @mttwinmom and welcome back to the Cruise Critic message boards! emo22.gif I see it has been awhile since you have posted on the boards.

Thank you for your new thread on the Ask a Cruise Question forum. 👍  It is the forum for general questions regarding cruising.

Howeveryour new thread is off-topic here since your topic is Miami hotels. To help you out, I have moved your thread to the Florida Departures forum. That's where members discuss Florida hotel, transportation, dining & embarkation information. Browse through the thread titles on this new forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find  your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that will be of interest to you.

I hope this will be helpful and glad to have you back aboard Cruise Critic!

Lots of suggestions as you read down this board - pre-virus most suggestions focused on hotels in the Mary Brickell area of downtown - Hampton Inn, Hyatt, etc. with a multitude of nearby local dining and shopping options. Also popular are the Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, as well as the Doubletree Biscayne and next door Marriott - all four offer some rooms with a view of the port (a great view to wake up to when starting your cruise vacation) as well as nearby dining and shopping option.

Budget, dates, and who is travelling - honeymoon? family vacation? - will help the suggestions to be closer to your target.  Good luck with your search. 😎

We love the doubletree that you mentioned, great thing about that and Marriott is view and loads of restaurants , bars and stores in lobby area a couple had live music so no need to take a taxi or Uber to get dinner.
