At our home on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, there are swans that spend the entire summer in the harbour there. It is definitely salt water; tides, barnacles, storms and all!

More giggles,  one of our new reporters just moved to a new show in California,  on the news last night they showed her educating her American cohosts on Canadian treats,  Maple syrup, Hawkins cheezies, all dressed potato chips,  coffee crisp and Crunchie chocolate bars!  
it is interesting all the little differences.   My US cousins,  formerly Canadian,  (I have a mixed family with American grandmother) would come up here to buy Red Rose tea and chocolate bars,  not candy bars😉
