Johnlcd - Gdansk shuttle?

Hi, John!

 

We're on the Star Princess 5/15 and are looking forward to meeting you! Your CD is chock full of info!

 

Do you know if the Gdansk "transport only" excursion from Princess acts like a shuttle? In other words, if we take it to Gdansk and only spend 2 hours there, is there a return bus - say on the hour - or do we have to wait until an appointed time?

Glad you enjoyed the DVD. Sorry for the delay in replying, I've just flown to NZ to join the Diamond and haven't had alot of free time!

The Gdansk "transport only excursion" is not like a shuttle, you have to wait until the pm return time to get back to the ship.

Al, we took the Gdansk transport only last season and it worked nicely. By the time you get there, have a walk around, stop in the church, do a little amber shopping, and sit out in the main square enjoying lunch or some excellent (and very cheap) beer while people watching, it is about time to head back.

 

Gdansk is a lovely, lovely place and you can do as much or as little as you want.

About how far is Oliwa Cathedral from Gdansk "center" - is it walkable?
