Is this offer too good to be true?

I received an E-mail from a major online cruise agency, listing the many "happy hour" specials for Royal Caribbean that are valid each day of this Valentine's week. The prices are the same that are listed on RCI's happy hour special flyer and numerous other online sites.

The question I have concerns the "extras" that this firm is offering. If we book a JS suite, they are offering 5 bottles of wine, one bottle of Domain Chandon champagne, a tray of petit fours, canapes, breakfast in bed one morning, and an 8x10 portrait in a silver frame.

Has anyone else received these extras, or is there some catch to this offer? In this day of price fixed cruise prices, this is probably as close to a good deal as you are going to get.

Sounds like one of the Cruise Critic "endorsed" ones. If you look at the Freedom Cruise Critic group cruise for 15 Oct 2006, it is probably the one handling that group.

So you might want to check with Laura - CC Community Manager.

Those "extras" all sound reasonable especially if you are booking a JS. I booked my current cruise with an on-line agency and got a free iPod. The Happy Hour pricing is wonderful however I've never been able to take advantage of any since the fairly last minute airfare price usually kills any saving.

Good lunch and enjoy the extras.

I received the same email. I called and got the prices from them and they are as stated with the additional items(wine etc.) . They did say you can take casino credit of $50 for inside and $100 for a balcony in place of the wine.. I've never used them before so I am a little cautious myself. Has anyone used them? I've check a lot of the other travel agencies and no one can come close. Almost sounds too good to be true.

I have used them several times. I have gotten very good prices, but never any of the freebies. (I tend to book far in advance of any specials).

I also book on the ship for the onbord credit and transfer to them.

I say go for it, if it is a cruise you would like to do.
