Nanner431 Posted June 3, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2021 So we just booked a cruise through a Players Club offer - $900 off cabin, free drinks on us and $1000 onboard credit. Both my husband and I had the same offer. If we booked that offer with both our VFIP numbers we should both get the drinks on us right? I know we’ll get the $1000 just for the cabin not individually but I’m hoping we’ll both get the drinks on us.

From my experience, my daughter only gets free drinks in the casino for the offers that say "Free Drinks On Us! for you and one travel companion," otherwise it's just me (the recipient of the offer) if it says "Free Drinks on Us! while playing in the casino." Well I mean I used each of our numbers on our booking attached to our names. We both had same offer - primary booking is under my number. That’s why I’m wondering if only one of us will get the drinks on us in the casino. I hope it was for you and one travel companion then cause that would kind of suck. Lol If you want to be sure one way or the other, I suggest calling Carnival and after confirming your credentials and booking number, ask them if it's drinks for one or both. Perhaps remind them that you both got the offer...

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted June 3, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 3, 2021 Yup, that's just for the person who got that offer and booked. Here's the "two person free drinks" example:
jb8162 Posted June 3, 2021 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2021 On my last cruise that we booked the offer was for me only however my wife had a similar offer. So when I went to the casino to get it attached to my sail and sign card I asked if my wife was included because she had a similar offer, but we booked under my offer. She looked up her account and gave it to her. So I think as look as you have an similar offer as the one you booked the answeris yes you should both get the drinks on us while playing in the casino.
lubedobedo Posted June 3, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2021 If you both got the offer, email 'oceanplayersclub.com' and ask them. That's what I did. Husband and I both got Jackpot offer in February, his had drinks anywhere on ship. We booked with his vifp #. Mine had free drinks in casino. So I emailed and asked if I get drinks in casino. They wrote back saying "Please be advised that you are eligible for Drinks on Us while playing in the casino only. Each offer is individual per guest." I will print & bring with me on cruise.
illinoisfive Posted June 3, 2021 #9 Share Posted June 3, 2021 when i book through my PVP he always tells me that if we both have the offer then we each get the free drinks portion, however only the one VIFP that is booking gets the money offer also
JEANMR1 Posted June 4, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 4, 2021 I had the same issue and called. Because my wife got the offer too, they said she could get the free drinks as well. I did have one question, can we get the free drinks at the casino bar or do we need to be playing at a machine or table? thanks in advance. john91498 Posted June 4, 2021 #11 Share Posted June 4, 2021 On my last cruise, at the poker table, every 30 minutes to an hour, I'd ask for a drink and they give drinks to the entire table. Regardless off the offer.
JennyD1 Posted June 4, 2021 #12 Share Posted June 4, 2021 When i get the offer for a free interior cabin and $500 fun play, Ultra gift and drinks in casino for me and my quest, I book the cabin in my name and my friends name as my guest. My friend gets an offer for a discounted room, and $500 fun play, ultra gift and drinks in casino. She doesn't need the room, because she's staying in my free cabin, so she does not book a room. She still gets the $500 fun play, the Ultra gift and drinks in the casino. I have another friend who gets a free interior and $500 in fun play. Her husband gets a discounted cabin and $1000 in fun play. They book the cabin under the wife's offer as she gets the free cabin and she also gets $500 fun play. Her husband does not book a cabin and he still gets his $1000 fun play. They both get the drinks on us in the casino. If you both get an offer, you both get the fun play (and Ultra gifts) listed on your offer as well as the drinks in casino.

You do not have to book a cabin in your name to receive the fun play , the gifts (Ultra) and the drinks in casino. You can be staying in your friend/spouse cabin who is also receiving all these perks. We do it all the time.

Rules could have changed in the last year but one of you could have earned enough from your last cruise to start this cruise with DOU card. Sorry I don't remember what the amounts were but they could tell you. Have a great cruise!

I just print out a copy of the offer and take it to the casino. They can look it up right there. I will say that if you are getting OBC they will not stack it. However, fun play, casino cash and drink offers you will get regardless of who booked.

I was on a Carnival casino cruise a couple years ago and asked one of the bartenders about getting drinks directly from them, and he said sure. So I got them that way on that cruise. illinoisfive Posted June 4, 2021 #22 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Ultras and Premier Cruises seem to be different, as when my husband and I both have the offer, we both get the money and the drinks and the gifts, whereas on a regular casino offer you both need the offer to receive the free drinks and only the booking party gets the money. we only book one room.

Those offers usually indicate that the benefits are extended to "a traveling companion in your stateroom". If it does NOT say that, the casino dept MAY offer an exception if the guest's casino play is significant.
