I've travelled extensively and cruised moderately. There are risks that are manageable and those that aren't. On a cruise the risks presented by someone else's conduct are higher than land-based travelling. During a pandemic my chances of having a vacation disrupted are far less at a hotel or resort than being crammed onto a boat with thousands of other people.

Your concern is the same always, that is why many never consider cruising.  Any travel during a pandemic is risky if it is allowed at all.  The fact that some travel and cruising is being allowed means to some of us the risks have been mitigated to an acceptable level.  And then there are "remote" areas (like Canada) that are not allowing any risk 🙂  We all are different, not really right or wrong.
