Alaska on Quantum Out of Seattle - July 2022

Recommended Posts

Hi all-

We've booked this Alaskan cruise and I am wondering if we'll always be within sight of land?  A buddy of mine mentioned that he thought that might be the case.  Can anyone tell me for sure?  The itinerary is:

Seattle - Ketchikan - Sitka - Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier - Juneau - Victoria, BC - Seattle

Thanks.

It will travel on the west side of Vancouver Island  so on the first and second to last days it is open seas.   With the late sunsets you will be seeing islands as you leave Ketchikan. Not as much as you leave Sitka as it is more remote.  Plenty of land in view in Endicott Arm and on the way to Juneau.  You will be in sight of land again for at least a couple hours before reaching Victoria, with Vancouver Island on your left and Washington State on the right..  As you leave Victoria you will probably see the lights of Vancouver as you slowly kill time until they close the casino before heading south back to Seattle.
