All Inclusive?

Does Carnival offer an all inclusive option? IF not, do you know any cruise line that does? We've been on Carnival before and would like to find a way to save a little money. Thanks.

What else are you wanting included? Adult beverages? Excursions?

If so, then no, Carnival doesn't offer those options. For something like that you'd have to move to a higher end cruiseline like Windstar. Although doing that would definitely increase the cruise price.

none of the "mass market" cruise line offer a true All Inclusive product. Some of the higher end lines will include wine with dinner. Almost none will include drinks and shore excursions (with the exception of Celebrity Expeditions to Galapagos on the excursions).

 

If you're looking for an All Inclusive vacation, you may have to look at a land vacation, and even so, check what is really included in each hotel's plans...

moon palace in cancun is a great vacation for all inclusive. You literally go down with no money everything is included and amazing for the price.:)

That's correct. Palace Resorts offer a very good value for the money, and they even include some tours that you can take (Isla Mujeres, Tulum, etc.). They have several resorts in Mexico, most in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, each with its own "personality"...

The way DH and I do our cruises it is really like having an "all inclusive" vacation. We pay for the cruise which of course includes all meals, entertainment and boarding. Then we buy Carnival gift certificates for whatever else we want to do (specialty dining, drinks, pictures, spa etc.......) and then we pre-book our shore excrusions beforehand so when it actually comes time for the cruise we carry very little cash with us. I've done "all inclusive" resorts before (Sandals, Club Med etc...) and I much prefer cruising. When you pre-buy the gift certificates and pre-book/pre-pay it really is like having an "all inclusive" vacation.

Carnival has an all inclusive alcohol card but it's usually reserved for groups of 100 or more and non profit......(sorta not published) ;)

I have been with a group that was offered this option. As I recall it was rather expensive and not a good deal for me as I drink very very little.

If you want all inclusive I would suggest you look into Palace resorts or Iberostar in Mexico or one of the companies in Jamcaica or perhaps Dominican Republic. They have Iberostars in both places as well as Couples, Sandles etc. As has been said the only way to get all inclusives on a ship is to: 1-have a very large group and the all inclusive including booze is very expensive or 2-cruise on one of the luxury cruise lines. Closest to an all inclusive cruise you are going to find is probably Sea Dream. It includes all everything except, spa, excursions, some liquors (most are included) and the casino. gratuities are included, but keep in mind that you are going to pay at least $2000 for a week, though their trans Atlantic crossings of 10 -12 days are about $1800 pp.

Been on trips my DH company has sponsored and it is like an addition 50.00 per day for the all inclusieve drink package. Of course there are usually over 200 of us when we travel together. Makes me one happy cruiser. They do pay for Every thing.....

The group does not have to be 100 or more....you have to have a group of at least 30 and everyone has to buy into the all inclusive. Even if you have children in one of the cabins that is booked they have to get the soda card.

All 30 people must buy into it......

OK, Heres the Deal, You have to call Groups Event Planning Department and you must have a Valid Booking number to begin with.

 

A. 30 GUEST is the Minimum.

 

B. Everyone has to participate period, even if you have 57 in that group.

 

C. Everyone will be issued a Drink Card so they can order Unlimited drinks.

 

D. It will cost 45.00 per person per day.

 

E. It will only be for drinks costing 7.50 and lower, As per another CC Member you can not go over that price or pay the difference.

We are booked for an All Inclusive cruise on the Conquest in February with a group. We are paying an additional $475 pp, but that does include our transportation from home-to Galveston-back home. Alcoholic beverages are included if the are $7.75 and under. I think they have 80 cabins reserved. Our Rum Runners MAY get to stay home.:D

I guess it depends on what you mean by "all-inclusive"... you want a massage every day, with an alcoholic beverage, followed by the supper club and credits to use in the casino? Do you want a fancy espresso mid-day to go along with your chocolate covered strawberry? Do you want to have all of your photos in a nice little bundle for you at the end of the cruise? How about no tipping envelopes? Or maybe that cute T-shirt you saw in the ships store... or how about river tubing in dark caves?

 

There are lots of ways to spend extra money on a cruise, but making it all inclusive would make the price astronomical. I think if it were made an all inclusive product it would ruin it. Giving you the "option" to spend the extra money as opposed to making you spend where you might not even care to take part in these extra activities or services...

 

I hate it when money is the driving force behind decisions. I would love it if I could cruise worry free of making those decisions... but that is a fantasy...

There is a sailing on the Glory on Oct 11, 2008 that is all inclusive for $1242/pp for a balcony cabin, 7 day Eastern Caribbean. This price includes all tips, taxes, fuel charge, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, bottled water, 2 Carnival bathrobes to keep and $25 OBC.

Is there a way to find out which cruises have large groups already booked on them with this option? We are looking to cruise next March ad we are pretty flexible with ship/itinerary. Having spent $800 each on alcohol on our last cruise this would be a great option for us, if it was possible to join a cruise with a group who have already arranged the alcohol card.

Now I forget which cruise it was, I think it was onboard Freedom, I sat next to a lady with the card at the Lobby Atrium bar, I asked her about her card and she told me it was the Unlimited Drink deal. She told me that I can call a T/A and find out if they had a group going with this deal and to just book with them.

 

During that cruise I would hear people in the elevator from that same group talk about others that were totally smashed and that they wouldn't leave the Bar areas, they would just camp out all day and drink and end up on the floor under a table somewhere. It was pretty funny.

Seriously, we buy the drink coupons ahead of time, averaging about 2 drinks per day per person, plus bring our rum runner and use the fruit punch at the Lido deck to mix with. Bring our own insulated mugs which we usually leave behind for the room steward. Buy those at Walmart for less than 2 dollars each and we are set!
