San Juan Pre Cruise Hotel

We've stayed at the AC hotel San Juan Condado by Marriott our last trip and it was reasonably priced and we liked the Condado area.  We're sailing again late Feb 2022 but this time either want to stay beachfront so were thinking San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino or staying in Old San Juan so the Sheraton Old San Juan.  Prices are substantially higher this year so we haven't committed to anything.

There's a whole slew of newer properties in the convention area that will be better price wise but won't have anything else nearby so that doesn't interest us.

Piggy backing onto this thread, we managed to get a better rate at La Concha. It's slightly  less than the Sheraton Old San Juan.  However, the recent reviews are not great - citing bad service and noise. The property looks stunning. What did you love about it?

Five years ago.

For us it was the stunning direct Seaview Room, the fun vibe and the quality of the service.  Plus one can always find a quiet spot in the beach away from others if you wish.  There are plenty of nice Restaurants nearby, but you must, repeat must, take the with wine taster menu at the excellent Marmalade (but do book very early).
For pre-dinner drinks consider The Mezzanine or Greengos a short walk from Marmalade.

As you have mentioned recent reviews, would take these and any other concerns up with the hotel manager.

Thank you! Marmalade was on the short list of potential restaurants.
