F19810 Posted June 27, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2021 I recently started taking a medicine that needs to be refrigerated, do all cabins on ama boats have them and are they cold enough? Also, how do you keep the meds cold getting to the boat? Thanks Judy
hoosier2017 Posted June 27, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2021 I can tell you we were in the smallest category cabin on AMA SERENA and we had a mini fridge in the room. As for traveling with the medication, I’d speak to your pharmacist. There are medical coolers you can purchase.
sharkster77 Posted June 27, 2021 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2021 Even Viking had a mini-fridge in the rooms in aquarium class.
Rare knoxclone Posted June 28, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2021 You can purchase small medicine travel coolers online - my husband has several that he uses for travel. Will normally keep meds cool for 24+ hours without a problem. Does not count against on board baggage policy as it is considered medical device. Good to know that it is not counted against on board baggage. I'm looking at a cooler that you can plug into a usb port or use an external battery (ones that you use for phones).
