What happens when new cruise is less?

I may have to cancel our upcoming Edge cruise at the 48 hr mark and switch it to another cruise. The first cruise is paid in full and the new booking would be about $700 less due to downgrading cabin. What happens to the $700? Do I have to put it towards another cruise or can I get it as an OBC?

On the first cancellation I’d appreciate prayers for the family member that is terminally ill

I'm pretty sure you get the cruise fare difference in FCC, and I'm pretty sure that is your only option.  I suppose you could look into an upgrade, of course.

Any excursions, packages, or other add-ons should be refundable, of course.

We're sending good vibes to you and your family.
