Bridget2010 Posted August 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Good call by the court. Not sure what the FL Governor was thinking - cruisers and cruise ships are a life blood for Florida. Having them pull out of FL would have been a disaster.

The appeals court reversed itself 6 days later so at this time the original lower court ruling in favor of Florida is still in place, https://www.travelagentcentral.com/cruises/surprise-move-appeals-court-reverses-itself-sides-state-florida
Rare Hlitner Posted August 15, 2021 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2021 I think some might confuse two different rulings. The US District Court of Appeals did reverse its own opinion and has currently left in place the Tampa Federal Judge's decision to uphold the Florida law against the CDCs Conditional Sail Order. But there was another decision by a different Federal Judge (in early August) that issued a temporary injunction prohibiting the State of Florida from enforcing its anti-vaccine law against NCLH (NCL, Oceania, and Regent) which means that the NCLH companies are currently allowed to continue their vaccine mandate for all cruises embarking/debarking in Florida. Hank This thread is clearly about the ruling that was reversed and the date of the original post is weeks before the second case (NCLH case) was even filed.
