Santa Maria verses Chileno Beach in Cabo

We will be visiting Cabo at the end of November and wondering how easy is it to catch a taxi from Santa Marie beach to Chileno beach? We will not have phone access. We hear Chileno has taxis and are thinking of skipping Santa Maria. Which beach is nicer for snorkeling?

I would probably stick to Chileno beach.  It is more developed with rest rooms, etc.   I can't say too much for the availability of taxis as I have only driven there in a private vehicle.  I guess your fallback plan would be to walk around to the resort and get one from the hotel.    Probably you could do the same at Santa Maria as well in terms of getting a taxi from the adjacent hotel.  Of course I am assuming the guards at the gates would be nice and let you pass into the resort or call a taxi for you.
