cruzn buckeye Posted May 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Did you book your cruise through Travelocity? How was it?
PINEVIEW01 Posted May 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2004 To date I've always used a TA for my cruises. I may change that though as Travelocity always seems to have a better deal. I'm always told that the TA and Carival can't or won't match it. I use them for all my air and only once had a small problem with them. OhioBeachBum Posted May 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Greetings from a fellow Buckeye! I used Travelocity for my cruise on the Miracle. I got great service from them. I called a couple times to see about an possible upgrade/credit, they always took the time to check on it. I've used them for other travel and haven't had any problems. GO BUCKS! Loved the Miracle 4/12/04 Great, now I'm hooked!
cruzn buckeye Posted May 5, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 5, 2004 Hey OhioBeachBum! How does travelocity send the docs? I'm considering using them but I want to make sure that I am home when they come!
mom2girls Posted May 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I used Travelocity to book my cruise! They were awesome! They had the lowest prices at the time. Of course, I didn't know about some of these sites then. Also, when I called about getting a credit because the prices did go down they called Carnival and arranged it! We received our docs about 5 weeks before the cruise in our mailbox. hstrybuf Posted May 5, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2004 I have a TA that usually beats Travelocity's prices, but I use the site to see what the approximate prices are, if they drop and to see what cabins are available. yst347 Posted May 5, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2004 We booked our Conquest cruise through travelocity. At the time they were offering an upgrade to best available in category. We had no problems with them. We also knew what we were buying so we didn't need much in the way of service. The fare did fall after we booked and we recieved the difference in onboard credit. I would say that as a general rule a good cruise TA can offer better prices and services than Travelocity.....but not allways. cowtown cruiser Posted May 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 7, 2004 We used Travelocity several times. Service was always great and had money refunded every time the price dropped. There were 10 of us in 4 rooms. Everything was perfectly coordinated. Had a great table for 10 at dinner. Moved rooms several times in order to be close to each other. They were always helpful. PammyHound Posted May 7, 2004 #11 Share Posted May 7, 2004 I have always found Travelocity to be higher than the other online agencies I check. CruiseFever Posted May 7, 2004 #12 Share Posted May 7, 2004 I use travelocity to research a cruise because I think their site is easy to navigate and pretty fast. As far as booking goes I've never booked with them because, as noted above, a decent TA can beat their prices easy Happy Cruising Chris www.LifeIsCruising.com Next up: Caribbean Princess 06/26/04 Star Princess 10/24/04 Diamond Princess 12/22/04 Carnival Miracle 03/13/
JohnnyO Posted May 7, 2004 #13 Share Posted May 7, 2004 I have used them to fly over 4000 miles but find that their cruise prices are not the best....Great for air tho... JohnnyO
