FCC added successfully for cruise reservation... but still wants credit card info?

Question. I have a FCC for $266. The web page says I've successfully added it to the reservation I'm trying to make. But it still wants me to input credit card information. The NRD is $100. Taxes and fees are $111. Are they going to charge my credit card if I fill in the credit card information? I was hoping the FCC would be enough and didn't want to give them any more money.

I ended up calling... apparently no, you can't book online with just FCC for deposit. Gal online was quick and friendly.

The FCC is not used to cover port and tax.  That charge may be what you are seeing.

Whatever it covered $100 of the FCC completely covered the $100 NRD so I was happy that no money out of my pocket. The rep told me that I couldn't apply by itself online.

Yes.  Travel agents can easily apply FCCs on the travel agent website.  Royal had made that convenient and easy.
