We are just off Infinity yesterday and hate to tell you but we can't recommend any of them. We too don't like beaches. The one SUPERB shore excursion we did take won't be available because it was part of the Savor the Caribbean guest chef program. The chef was Brian Katz from St.Thomas who did cooking demos every day and then took us to his restaurant in St. Thomas for a two hour cooking class and an incredible lunch and rum tasting.

All ports (except San Juan) were very crowded. We were the only ship in San Juan but in Nassau there were eight and we could barely walk around. A total waste. We had a Thriller Boat tour booked but it was cancelled due to lack of participation.

Our tablemates were all into beaches so we can't give you any background on those. If you are adventurous, our kids did this cruise last summer and loved the BOB tours in St. Thomas.

we were on the same itinerary on Millennium a little more than a year ago.

At the DR stop (really La Romana, "Casa de Campo" is some nearby resort that you can entirely bypass as we did), we took the only ship excursion we have taken to date in six cruises --- the "countryside excursion" -- the stops apparently vary but we enjoyed some unusual sights including a hand-rolled-cigar factory and sugarcane-loading depot.

From San Juan, we booked a private tour with a local guide to take us to the Arecibo deep-space observatory about an hour out of town. The drive was actually mainland-US-quality freeway almost the whole way, so if I ever went again, I'd just rent a car.
