Why not let people vote with their feet?

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't there are three MDRs on every Princess ship? Why not make one of them casual on formal night and the other two more strictly formal?

 

That way the suit and tie brigade doesn't have to have their eyes assaulted by casual wear and those who don't feel like being exiled to the buffet can enjoy their dinner in a MDR.

 

If the crowd for the casual MDR gets too big, make two of the MDRs casual. 😁
