Rare Beamafar Posted September 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2021 For those of us from Europe booked on MSC cruises going to, or sailing from a US port, it looks like the US travel ban is set to be lifted for vaccinated passengers from November: https://jrnl.ie/5553479

Rare Beamafar Posted September 20, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted September 20, 2021 @hamrag Didn’t want to hijack the other thread , G. I’d forgotten which cruise you’d booked. With restrictions being lifted in so many regions, hopefully the one affecting you will be soon, too. I love that non-US port Caribbean itinerary and hope to do the 14 nighter when the situation becomes more stable. We have Seashore booked from Miami next March and Europa for March the following year, so it’ll be some time before we’ll get to do it.

Fortunately we received the Pfizer vaccine and it seems that we can now plan and look forward to Seashore next March.

It was about time the US rationalized its entry requirements. Wishing good travels.

Wishing good travels. Cheers, KS. I’d all but written off the cruise due to the uncertainty around whether the restrictions would be lifted and so not being able to book flights. Looks like they’ll be reinstated and we’ll be able to book in plenty of time. Meanwhile we’ll be in steerage on Seashore in just over 4 weeks’ time so will be checking out the main areas of the ship in advance. 😁
KeepSailing Posted September 20, 2021 #7 Share Posted September 20, 2021 Don't know what to believe on the news anymore, but for what it is worth I just heard on Sky News broadcast that the US has agreed to accept the AZ for purposes of being vaxed and the travel ban lifting (even though it is not yet approved in the US). Rare Beamafar Posted September 20, 2021 Author #8 Share Posted September 20, 2021 There’ve been a lot of negotiations behind the scenes between the EU and the US in relation to this. The AZ vaccine may have been one of the issues raised at the time.
