esther e Posted September 27, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2021 Now I've got a question: I am fairly intelligent. Having said that, I received two embarcation tags in the mail today and haven't a clue how to attach them to luggage. The end by my room number has a hole. At the other end, the skinny end, there is a slit and another slit, resembling a "T". I've been playing around with them for a while and cannot figure it out at all. Thanks for your help. I'm assuming you all know exactly how to attach them.
Jazmyn49 Posted September 27, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2021 Slide the tab into the slot, folding if necessary. Or just tape it together, not a problem.
JeriGail Posted September 27, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2021 Don't attach them until you're ready to go to the ship or they may rip off on your flight.
Squawkman Posted September 27, 2021 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2021 We’ve always attached ours as soon as we picked up our bags from the baggage claim. When you meet Viking reps there, they’ll take them (and any tagged carry-ons) and transport them directly to your cabin.
esther e Posted September 28, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted September 28, 2021 I won't be flying. Driving down. So I'll attach them as I leave home.

If you are flying on your own, or you are driving, you put the tags on (just like the old fashioned luggage tags) and then when you drop that at the ship where you enter the check in station before getting on the gangway. esther e Posted September 28, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted September 28, 2021 I understand all this. Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough in my question. It’s a thin piece of paper and I don’t see anything on it that I can pull to have a stick to itself. And I’m not sure how to attach it to my suitcase other than putting it through the handle and taping it or stapling it and hoping that it doesn’t get ripped off in the process. I just want to know how you all attach your luggage tag

JeriGail Posted September 28, 2021 #9 Share Posted September 28, 2021 Fold the wide end with the hole in half and stick it through the "T" shaped slit with the luggage handle inside and then tape it together so it doesn't tear.
esther e Posted September 28, 2021 Author #10 Share Posted September 28, 2021 Thank you sure does. I don’t know what I was doing before but suddenly it works and it fits perfectly
