Hi, any advise from someone who did it before ? Did you like all those little Douro villages ? Something not to miss ? What did you do after ? Many thanks 🙂

We drove the Douro on our own, from Porto to Salamanca, as part of a larger land-based Portugal and Spain trip. We did visit a few places along the way, and a few other places outside of Porto. Thanks for remembering, Gourmet Gal!

Happy to answer any questions you might have but actually the Douro was a small part of our overall trip. We started out thinking that we'd spend a lot of time on the river but found too many other things to do.
