Transportation from LAX to Doubletree San Pedro.

Hi Everyone,

Need to decide if we will take Vikings day of flight or switch to day before for $100 ea. Air plus would not cover this change. Living in North Carolina and do not want to worry if it snows 1/2” and they close the airport. 😂  Also, anyone have any suggestions for transportation from LAX to hotel? Thanks! Angela

just a clarification. . .   To go a day early you pay $100 pp deviation fee.  This has nothing to do with Air Plus.  You can still use Air Plus ($50 pp) to get the flights you want.  So Air Plus DOES work if you go early.  As you surmised, you don't get the transfer.   You can certainly try an Uber from LAX.  I believe many on the World Cruises that have gone out of San Pedro have done this and similar things.   Try some "practice" runs with Uber to see how much it would cost. 

Note - if you are coming in early you might want to consider a couple days and enjoy the sights and scenery as well!   Best of luck in your decisions and in the cruise!

We are flying in the morning of the 4th and currently booked at the Hyatt Centric "The Pike" Hotel in Long Beach. It is next to "The Pike Outlet Mall", so we can do any last minute shopping needed. We pre-booked an UberXL from LAX to the hotel for $150. and another Uber from the hotel to the cruise port for $25.

We had looked at the DoubleTree San Pedro, but felt that it wasn't near anything to shop or eat at by foot.

Is the DoubleTree San Pedro the hotel of choice for Pre-cruise passengers?

If using a regular taxi or Uber, you must take the shuttle bus from arrivals to the LAXIT area. You can also book an Uber Black or other limo and they can pick you up directly from the arrivals area.

 

We booked an Uber Black on arrival and it arrived within 5 - 10 mins.

Thank you for the idea.. We will switch to Black as to avoid that dreaded shuttle to LAXIT.
