Have you been on an NCL cruise to Italy recently and done shore excursions?

What kind of shore excursions did they offer? Many of those on the NCL website describe being able to explore on your own--were any such offered? Were your shore excursions experiences good or bad?

Were you able to get the covid test Italy requires while on the ship and did you have to pay? NCL sys they will pay for the test in certain circumstances, but it's not clear to me which. I am especially interested if you did not fly home immediately.

Check out this thread on the NCL board.

NCL is doing tests which are required to go on shore tours or flying back home onboard and they are covered by your cruise fare. If you do not fly home immediately you have to take care of your own test for the flight as the one onboard might be out of the time range for flying back home.
