tip Posted October 26, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2021 Please don't make a snarky comment about how I should use the "search function" or go onto the Princess site and try to navigate for an answer. I have done both of these and it just makes me more confused. We are sailing on the Sky out of Fort Lauderdale on November 20th and will fly out from New Hampshire before dawn on November 17th. We have each had our Moderna vaccinations for over six months and will get our booster later this week and will carry appropriate documentation. What is the latest on Covid Testing? Will we have to get tested when we arrive in Fort Lauderdale and where can it be accomplished? Thank you for your patience.
Rare azbirdmom Posted October 26, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2021 Right now Princess requires testing within 2 days of sailing so that would mean that you will need to have a negative test result on November 18 or 19. I had saved the info below from another post of places in Fort Lauderdale that you can have this done and you should try to make a reservation in advance. Princess also indicates that they will do testing at the port for $150. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) ** (Walk-Up) 100 Terminal Dr., Terminal 3 (Lower level near baggage claim) Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 Daily 7AM -9PM Proof of travel (cruise documents, boarding pass, paid flight itinerary, airline ticket) $106 for PCR test (results in 48 hrs.) $74 for rapid antigen test (results in 30 minutes) Register by visiting Nomi Health's FLL weblink . https://testing.nomihealth.com/easy_registration/34/onsite https://www.cvs.com/minuteclinic/covid-19-testing/.... https://urgentcareflauderdale.com/ https://labdoctor.org/ https://www.browardmedicalurgentcare.com/ https://physicianscreek.com/covid-19/
chrysalis Posted October 26, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2021 We board the Sky on the same day, and don't know anything yet about testing at the Pier, and since we fly down from Canada, and require a test before flying, our testing will be done before we leave. All I know is that you have to have a negative test 2 days before boarding the ship. Princess says that they will have testing at the Pier but since no cruises of theirs have actually left FLL yet, we don't know for certain.
Lizabu Posted October 26, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2021 The website says it will be available. It’s between $20 and $40 where I live so I would rather pay that than $

We will have to figure this out also for our cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in Jan 2022. This link will give you the Princess answers to a number of questions, Princess updates this site regularly. https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/us-cruises/ I would call the various clinics listed by Azbirdmom and verify if the take insurance or if you pay for the test. CVS - at this time - doesn't charge for the test but I have yet to find an available testing time at the one close to 17th Street. The CVS on Sunrise Blvd does show available appointment times. We will be flying too so will have to consider using Uber or a taxi to which ever place we decide to go for our tests. Our flights schedules are not good, so we have to test after we arrive in Fort Lauderdale Edited October 26, 2021 by coo359a2

I had found all except for the Physicians Creek clinic. Could not get the "urgentcareflauderdale" to open.

Digisailor Posted November 1, 2021 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2021 More or less the same question... So if people have later information or tips they figure out... please post on this thread. Sailing at the end of January 2022. We will need to make a connecting flight from Oregon - so "2 days before sailing" will pretty much be taken up with traveling... and "1 day before sailing" is going to be a buffer day in Fort Lauderdale - so I'm looking at probably trying to work that in down there the day before... WIsh we could do 3 days ahead... that would make all this a lot simpler.
