Web Check In Question

First time MSC cruiser here.  Trying to check in for our Nov. 20 Seashore cruise from Miami.  Taking toddlers aged 2 & 4.  We will use their original birth certificates as their identification.  When trying to check in, MSC's check in requires an expiration date for the ID.  Since a birth certificate has no expiration date, what do we put in the "expiration date"?

Many thanks.

Welcome to MSC. This is one of the many "quirks" you'll find with them 🙂

First, make sure you have "ID Card" and not "Passport" selected.

Then it doesn't really matter what you type from there...I had a friend put in "BirthCertificate" in the ID # field and then a random date in the exp field. Whatever you put in, it will be checked/corrected when you get to the pier.

Lastly, please check your cabin assignment. Many here have lost theirs and had it replaced with a "guaranteed" cabin assignment.

Good luck!
