Blue Chip pricing question

Called Blue Chip for pricing of a cruise June 2022. Agent quoted me a price of 10% off for 3 veranda cabins, even gave me the cabin numbers. Needed SIL and DS gf information for the cabins. Called back 30 minutes later to book the rooms. New agent said that the quoted price was for only 1 cabin not for 3. Escalated to a supervisor who needed to review the tape. Called me back the next day and was vague and saying the price was not really given. I told her to listen to tape again. I wrote down the original price and cabin numbers. Other individuals are not gamblers. Anyone else had this experience?

Thanks

It has been my experience with both  Blue Chip (Celebrity casino program) and Casino Royal (RCCL’s program) that any discount offered is based on my own play on previous cruises and is available only for my cabin. It has not been applied to  cabins I have purchased for other family members. Who will be with you in your cabin? Does that person have a gambling status with Blue Chip? That person may be entitled to a discount as well, and since your are both in the same cabin the discount can be combined for greater savings. For example: My husband and I both gamble. I am sometimes offered a comped balcony room while my husband may receive an offer for an interior room on the same sailing, We combine the offers and sometimes we can upgrade to a JS for the two of us. The situation is different when we travel with my sister in law who does not gamble. We can not get her a discount on her cabin and she pays full fare.  She probably makes  out better than us in the long run since my husband and I usually gamble what our room would have cost, and more lol

Sapphire Plus here. We can only get the casino rate (10% off) one additional cabin, and we travel with four cabins.  10% off is only valuable to us on the highest level suites, otherwise we get better pricing or OBC with a travel agent.   If you are looking to book in June, you will need to call back in March or so for casino pricing for yourself.

I recently booked 2 Sky Suites and was given the BCC discount on both.  Only myself is a casino player.  But when the agent was booking the 2nd cabin she asked if I was MLIFE which I am.  She said that entitled me to the 2nd cabin discounted.  Also my discount was the same on both cabins and it was a lot more than 10%.  I have since tried to get an already booked cabin on a cruise next October repriced and keep getting told no.  1 agent did tell me that it was because the friends and family discount was not available for the category booked.

Hi!  I just recently learned, by accident, about Blue Chip pricing.   I booked a cruise with my travel agent (not Celebrity).   I then called the Celebrity MGM # to get the MGM Onboard Credit added for us.  I was told they no longer do that, it's only for cruises booked through Blue Chip. I said I just sailed in October and had the OBC.   (There was a thread a few months ago about this OBC.  Now I know from experience it isn't offered like before).   I asked what Blue Chip pricing was.  I had AquaClass cabins booked on the newly just booked cruise.  The price she gave for AquaClass was the same as the travel agent.  She then said she had a Sky Suite discount.  The Blue Chip Sky Suite price was less than Aqua.  I asked if it came with all of the Sky Suite perks.  Answer = yes.  I then gave my dad's Celebrity #.  Another discounted cabin booked.  I wasn't sure what to do since I needed a third cabin for my aunt.  I was told that special rate couldn't be used for my aunt.  I called the next night and found out I could do one Friend & Family and get my aunt a cabin for the discounted rate.  So, I booked another.  Since my dad has a cabin booked with a Blue Chip discount, he could also do a friend and family if needed.  I was then able to apply the MGM OBC for those of us that it applies to.
