srqcruiser Posted February 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2006 For years we have cruised with Princess and stayed in PH Suites. We are looking for something more upscale and are thinking of the Regatta for January 2007. Would Oceania be a good fit? We are in our late 30s, night life is not a big deal just as long as we have great upscale meals and wine choices. Tell me about Oceania. What is the average age? How rocky is a ship of this size? Can anyone give a comparison of the PH Suites on Princess to the PH Suites on Oceania? Any advice would be helpful.
Andee Posted February 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Although we've cruised both Princess and Oceania, we haven't stayed in PH suites on either one, so I can't answer that part of yur question. You'll be among the youngest passengers; we're in our mid-50s, and the majority of the passengers on our two Oceania sailings were older than we are. We enjoyed almost every passenger we met, regardless of age. We've only cruised Oceania in the Med, and really only had one rocky night. Seeing the crew put out seasickness bags on all the tables in the public areas was a little unnerving. We think the food on Oceania is the best we've had on any cruise line, and cetainly significantly better than what we've had on Princess.
Nitrodog Posted February 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2006 The PH suites on Oceania are the same as the "mini-suites" on the Pacific and Tahitian Princesses. Very comfortable, 322 ft2. But on Oceania they supply butler service. Hope this helps.
