Delta air requiring testing if visiting outside USA then returning to Miami to fly home?

We are flying r/t from MSP to Miami and boarding ship. We received notice from Delta that if outside the USA we will need test before flying home. Does anyone know how this process works? Is it easy to get a test onboard the day before departure?

If you are cruising roundtrip out of a US port, you don't need to test. A Delta flight from MIA to MSP, that is a domestic flight...it doesn't require a test.

 

If you are FLYING internationally into the US, it requires a negative test. Not Delta, but the US Government, is who is require test.

The US government is requiring the negative Covid test. The airlines are just the messengers.

Hurtigruten administered the tests on the ship the night before disembarkation. The results were handed to us as we left the ship. I haven't heard that anybody had issues getting home with the results of that test.

 

I can't speak to how other cruise lines are handling it.
