Royal Caribbean Shore Excursions

I want to ask if this is normal.  I initially booked my granddaughter (10) & myself in an inside cabin on Oasis OTS & my son & his SO in the inside cabin next door.  She chose not to come so I moved my granddaughter to her fathers cabin so I could get double points as a solo.  I had bought shore excursions for the 3 of us prior to this change with the Good Friday sale.  When I moved her, RCI cancelled her excursion.  I called as soon as I received their email.  I had to pay the CURRENT price for the same excursion.  It would have made more sense to transfer the existing excursion with her to the new cabin.   

 

Is it normal to reprice the excursion when a change is made?  I was so thrilled with the sale!
