Rare forgap Posted January 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2022 In many of the live threads, folks have been noting that some passengers are very cavalier about masking, either not wearing it, wearing it incorrectly, or skirting around the rules with pretend eating and drinking. People have commented about how enforcement puts low level staff in a difficult position and that officers or security personnel should be doing the enforcement. Regent can, and should, enforce regulations that ensure the safety and well-being of guests. They enforce dress codes after six. They enforce the smoking policy. They enforce no firearms on board. They remove passengers who are unruly. Currently a great deal of revenue is going out the window due to Covid. If a passenger does not comply with the mask policy they should be warned and given a mask or asked for their cabin number via presenting their room key. Non compliance should result in being removed from the ship after a set number of warnings. Better to keep Covid off the ship then the increasing numbers of infected passengers we are seeing now
flossie009 Posted January 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2022 We have just disembarked Mariner and found that compliance with the revised protocols was good; both on the ship and on tour in the few ports we were allowed to stop at. Masks, social distancing (4 in an elevator etc) was not usually a problem. When someone forgot, say when going to the self serve buffet in La Veranda, crew would politely remind the guest to put their mask on. 6
