Onboard credits

Its been a couple of years since we sailed. We use to buy onboard credits pre sailing. I can’t find a place to do that anymore. Have they stopped it?

Yes you can still purchase: 

Log into Princess. Then access cruise Personalizer,  then click on “onboard services”  and then click on “onboard credits”

I'm curious as to why one would want to pre-purchase OBC...unless you wanted to "gift" them to someone.  Other than that, it just seems like a "pay me now or pay me later" situation.

If one has gift cards, it's easier to use them and buy onboard credits ahead than to try to do them at the guest services desk onboard.
