Flights by Celebrity

I see that Celebrity is using American Airlines for their flights now.  I like the convenience of using this service (I don't have to deal with airlines if cruise is postponed) but the flight times and lack of direct flights are a disappointment.  We are booked on a Canadian/New England cruise leaving Boston on August 31st.  Can anyone share and pros and cons on booking with Flights by Celebrity verses booking flights on our own?  Thanks in advance!

We checked airlines and selected the flights we prefer, then called FBC letting them know which flights work for us.  X won't book flights leaving too early.  If they have a contract with that airline, they've booked it for us.  Some airlines won't book business or 1st class for X flights.  Also, to book seats on some airlines using FBC,  we had to pay X in full , in advance of final payment, for the ticket #s in order to do so.  We like using FBC with the covid situation possibly cancelling cruises.  FBC also will cancel the flights without penalty.  If you've paid for seats however, that has to be dealt directly with the airline.  Hope this helps.
