Princess Cruise San Pedro

Will be leaving from San Pedro in March to go to Hawaii.  First time leaving from  San Pedro and will be driving there. My question is when you get too is there a place too drop off you luggage than go park your car  thanks

The cruise terminal has a loop road in front that circles the parking lot...You can do the loop and drop off luggage and/or people at the door, then loop back around to the parking entrance, park your car and walk back...Of course, we've often found parking spaces still just steps from the entrance.

 

Also, remember, parking at the pier is $20 per day...and Hawaii is a long cruise--15 days?  You are going to have a $300 parking cost.  Other options include booking a room for the night before at the Crowne Plaza or the Doubletree--You can find deals that include free parking for the ength of the cruise--and you can use either the hotel shuttles or Uber/Lyft to get to and from the port.  The CP actually has secure indoor parking under the hotel.

Additional info:

 Crown Plaza allows you free parking up to 14 nights for a 1-night stay. It is $20/day after that. (A nice gal at the hotel gave us 3 extra days of free parking after she heard it was our anniversary...our cruises totaled 17 days.) Shuttle to and from the cruise terminal is $5.50 each way. If you are able, and have rolling luggage, it is an easy 20- minute walk. 

 

Double Tree allows you literally unlimited free parking for a 1-night stay. Parking is outside and not under the hotel like CP...but the area looked very safe. Double Tree provides a free shuttle to and from the cruise terminal.

 

Note: We've stayed at both hotels...love both...my wife loves the free chocolate chip cookies at DT.

We live so close to San Pedro half the time that spending the night to save $100-150 dollars doesn't outweigh the convenience of having our car right there. We've done Hawaii twice from San Pedro, third time booked, and a partial Panama Canal, 17 day trip from San Pedro.
