Silver Dawn maiden voyage 18th March 2022 - cancelled

Not sure why an industry event would be beyond SS control and to cancel a cruise for that reason when there have already been so many cancellations, postponements, changes related to Covid.  Just seem to add to the chaos and more angst for cruisers.  This is disappointing to hear about on top of so many other snafus lately.

No it certainly was not beyond the control of Silversea.  Au contraire, it was the choice of Silversea to replace the cruise with a chartered event, and that is a major reason why those of use who had booked the Dawn cruise are unhappy, although I am getting over it, moving on.
