clemsonlori98 Posted January 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2022 I was attempting to add on a Cabana and an extra internet package for my son for our cruise in April. I added them to my cart and plugged in credit card info. I "ordered" these 2 items but then the website said there was an error. The purchase showed up on my credit card immediately but is not showing up on website under my account. I called MSC customer service and they saw no purchase being made. They told me to have my travel agent to call them to fix the issue. To top it off, a few months ago I had added an excursion on Ocean Cay and that went off without a hitch. I asked customer service if they saw it on their end and they did not. Talk about confusing. What a mess. Anybody else have issues like this? MemeCruise Posted January 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2022 I have had some experience with MSC onshore / offices in the past years, I can tell you, the competitive price (especially for Yacht Club) kept us hanging on. November 2021 cruised the MSC Fantasia, an older lady, but boy the staff was excellent! Nothing compared to the (sometimes) painful experience we had with the onshore/office staff. We have another cruise booked for coming April and family members want to join as well. We asked if they could also apply the Voyager Club member discount by shifting passengers with VC membership to this room. We were told no problem, just book book online and pay the deposit. So we did. Than I called again to ask them to apply the VC discount...to cut story short: after 1.5 hrs on the phone, the very friendly and patient MSC office lady could not apply the discount after all. In addition, they wanted to charge us thousands of euros more for the bookings because of modification and cancellation charges! We only wanted to book an additional room! I was furious inside, but the lady was so calm and promised that everything will be fine. Until now, it still is not fine. It's really just because of the wonderful experience we had on the ship in November that keeps us waiting patiently for them to rectify this mess. If not, we would have cancelled all the 3 YC bookings yesterday, their system and onshore customer service is lamentable 😩 We will be a little bit more patient, only because I know the staff onboard is excellent and make this pain worthwhile. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
