Long Beach terminal escalator

Does anyone know if the escalator is being used? When we sailed Panorama Oct. 2021, I saw it was moving.

I didn't see anyone using it though. That would be much easier on my worn out hip than using the ramp.

Is there an elevator that you can use?

They don't allow any luggage on the escalator, but the elevator is right there to the left of the escalator and a lot easier on worn out hips or knees. I don't walk that ramp anymore!!

I would rather leave the elevator for the wheelchair and walker folks.

The elevator is for anyone who needs it and it is what I would use for a person with ambulatory issues.

I also appreciate your thought of forgoing using the elevator, but terminal staff would much rather have you opt for the elevator rather than have you chance a fall.  Don't give a second thought, just use the elevator!  :  )

Yes, used it last week on Navigator, did not notice any one near the elevator.

I do not believe the Navigator sails out of the Long Beach Terminal. I believe it is exclusively for Carnival Cruise Ships.

We used it both in November and December of 2021.  DW has knee/hip issues.  We just let the person standing at the base of the know and they directed us toward the escalator.
