Rare RachelG Posted February 1, 2022 #27 Share Posted February 1, 2022 regarding cooking classes on Splendor, no charge now but it is just a cooking demo and you don't get to sample the food or drink anything. No wine. They have you really spaced out in the culinary center. Didn't interact with anyone. That said, i did learn a few useful things.

sassyw Posted February 1, 2022 Author #30 Share Posted February 1, 2022 Sorry! Yes we were in Guatemala yesterday and Costa Maya was supposed to be today but there were adequate swells even though the weather is beautiful. Captain Serena explained that the area of the dock is open to the sea and not protected from swells. The gang way would shake and make for a dangerous exit. There is not a gluten free menu. A printed menu for your reserved dinner the next day comes to your stateroom the day before. If you hadn't made a reservation you get the Compass Rose and Sette Marie menus. You make choices and the chef accommodates. I had GF soft shelled crabs last night at Pacific Rim and they were fantastic! David Nivens will be the CD for 2/3 cruise. He just got on a couple of days ago and sang for us with a beautiful baritone voice.
