Odyssey - latest itinerary change

Just received notification that our March 19 sailing from Philipsburg has several changes due to “operational considerations”.

No St Barth’s or Mayreau anymore.  Also Roseau instead of Cabrits and Carambola Beach instead of Basseterre.  Added a sea day and a stop in Grenada.

We're on the February 26 Odyssey cruise, and we got the notification last night of the same changes. And we had previously lost Martinique. So this cruise looks pretty significantly different than the one we booked. I understand and even expect there to be port changes in these crazy times, but 5 out of 6 port stops changed on a 7-day cruise changed is pretty surprising.

We WERE on the Feb 19th sailing, thank heavens we cancelled just in time. I hope those who are still sailing have a great time.

Got the same notification for our 14nt on March 12. A bit disappointed, but we’ll roll with the punches. Also, some changes to the northern bound itinerary the week of the 12th for those interested… moved Roseau to the 23rd (in place of Cabrits which, as you mentioned, was cancelled). Our moved Roseau date is now a sea day. They also cut back port times in St Lucia and St Johns (the latter by 5 hours) and added a second Carambola Beach day… not terrible but we’ll be there in Friday and then again the next Tuesday.

Interested in the new Grenada stop, but right now there are no excursions listed (assume they will as this island requires ship excursions only). Hoping they offer a beach excursion as that will be our last day.

As mentioned, we are disappointed as we originally had 14 ports in 14 days with only 2 “revisits” (albeit different ports), but now we have 2 sea days with 4 revisits. But any day on the ship will be better than a New England winter … as we bunker down for 2-3ft tomorrow.

  • 2 weeks later...

We were booked on 5 March Cruise. Had already seen ports missed and sad stories of people spending entire cruise in quarantine so decided to ‘jump ship’ as it were and cancelled in early January. Potentially only lost deposit which has to be used by year end. Unlikely we will be able to use it by then. Notice Royal Caribbean have extended Future Cruise Credits past the end of this year. Would be nice if Carnival/Seabourn would do the same. Not holding my breath.
