Planning RC cruise with unvaccinated 5 year old

We are UK based family with 5 year old unvaccinated son. Currently gov has not offered vaccine for our son. Myself & wife are triple vaccinated with booster shots.

 

Anyone on RC ship - please let us know if kids club are open for unvaccinated kids?

 

Also during Christmas cruising we found out MSc allowed us to go on port (on port days) while our son was in kids club for couple of hours, where as carnival didn't allow unvaccinated kids in kids club at all (there kids club was empty).

 

So in case if kids club undertake unvaccinated kids, can we go on port for 1 or 2 hours?

Kids club is open you will just have to jump through some additional hoops before you're allowed on the boat. After that the differences between vax and unvax are subtle.

We are uk based and take our unvac 8(year old ) dau away when we can. The rules change all the time so it depends on what cruise and when your going.

Kids club generally treats all kids like they're not just unvaccinated but they're infectious too (thanks CDC).

Yes, kids clubs are open for vaxxed and unvaxxed children.   

Protocols as of right now...Yes, you may leave your child at the kids club (I think you have to schedule an appointment) so you can then go ashore and wander around port.     

If you want to leave ship with your child then you must schedule an excursion through Royal.

There are certain venues that do not allow unvaxxed children such as the Solarium, Casino and some other bars (but who takes their children to the bars anyway).    Different venue for MDR for unvaxxed.
