Retired Happy Camper Posted February 18, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2022 We're cruising in Europe in May. I'd like to buy some euros before we go. My bank and my TA offer very poor exchange rates for USD-EUR. Can any experienced cruisers offer advice about how they do currency exchange? rkacruiser Posted February 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2022 I like to have some foreign currency for whatever countries I will be visiting during a cruise. Not alot of currency, but some. Even though the exchange rate may not be the best at times, I bank with Chase Bank and their rate and ability to promptly obtain the currency satisfies me. If more currency is then needed when I am in a foreign country, I will use an ATM. Most of the time, I use a credit card that has no foreign transaction fee.
