Next week we will be in St. Lucia.  Does anyone know how much a taxi would be from the pier to Rodney Bay/Reduit Beach?  Thanks.

$35usd one way for uo to three passengers. Extra people will add extra$$$.

Actually, the protocols are listed here:

www.stlucia.org/covid-19

Fully vaxxed cruise passengers can explore on their own. Of course, the cruise lines can make their own restrictions that override - that's up to the lines..and several lines have done so much as Princess, etc.

Non-vaccinated visitors are restricted to ship's tours or gov't certified tour/taxi to certified activities.

I looked at the St. Lucia website and it said that fully vaccinated must have a Covid test.  I copied the following information from the website.

Fully vaccinated travellers aged 5 years and older must have a valid negative Rapid Antigen test or Rapid COVID-19 PCR test done 1 day prior to arrival

or

a valid negative Standard COVID-19 PCR test done within 5 days prior to arrival

Does anyone have an update or know what the  Princess Cruises and St. Lucia protocols are? Any current information would be greatly appreciated. We are on Emerald Princess April 2nd. Thanks

You need to click on Cruise Arrivals on the St Lucia dot Org site for cruise arrival info. It is different for Cruise Arrivals versus air/private boat arrivals..

Princess tour info is right at their website also - at the top, at the black/grey banner under Health Protocols, then US sailings then  Shore Visits and  Excursions. Details of the Princess restrictions and such are right there..

Safe Travels

Hi.  I was in St. Lucia on March 25th. After docking we walked to end of shopping area/taxi area.  There were many shuttles/taxis' to take you on tours or beaches.  Very organized.  We paid $20 pp roundtrip to take you to Rodney Bay/Reduit Beach.  Very nice beach.  We were picked up promptly.

Another Long Islander here........

Did they have beach chairs, umbrellas and food/drink available there?   Also how long did it take to get to the beach from the pier?

Yes, there's chairs and umbrellas available for hire.

Several beachfront restaurants and bars, along with over 20+ within easy walking distance of the beach.

It's a 20-40 minutes ride depending on traffic - leave plenty of time to get back.

The shuttle drops you off right next to a beach bar/restaurant Spinmakers.  Guys meet your van and offer to rent you beach chairs and umbrellas.  Next door is a very casual Yacht Club open to the public.  Close by is Bay Gardens hotel which looks very nice and also has a beach restaurant/bar. We walked the beach and had drinks at Spinmakers.  Very nice location and very friendly staff.  Reasonable prices.  Reedprincess is right.  There was a lot of traffic on the way back to ship.  Leave yourself plenty of time.
