xcell Posted March 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2022 I'm hoping by the time I cruise in December that the testing requirements will have changed (eliminated) but just in case. How/where do you get a PCR test while you are vacationing before your cruise? MSC's requirement is 24 hours before the cruise embarkation, so if I am planning to embark on Friday at 6pm, then that means I need the test Wednesday after 6pm which would be quite difficult because I assume labs would be close by then. So option #2 would be to do it Thursday morning but then what happens if there is a problem with getting the test back in time? Any ways, am I just wondering if anyone has cruised with these requirements and what you did. Thanks!
Rare VMax1700 Posted March 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2022 24 hours before Friday 6pm would be Thursday 6pm (not Wednesday 6pm). But I wouldn't be too concerned at this time as it is 9 months until December. Lots will change within a couple of months let alone 9 months. I would have more concerns for the price of fuel and food and its impact on cruising than testing.
