Military Tattoo August 2022

We have purchased tickets for Military Tattoo. Will be coming from the Leith Cruise Port. Any recommendations on best way to get to the Castle from the Cruise port and what time should we depart for event, starts at 2100. I know it is only 3 miles but if there are taxi's, trams or shuttles.... that would be our preference. Appreciate your help.

Looking for quickest and easiest way to get there as I know there will be large crowds headed to same place we are.

There should be plenty of taxis there....never been to a port where there wasn't...You will LOVE the Tattoo

Not sure what ship you're on. Some dock at Ocean Terminal and some tender at Newhaven. Princess tender at South Queensferry. 

Anyway, Leith Walk has major tram works for the trams going to Ocean Terminal. A lot of road closures that wont be finished for a while.

Plenty taxis to and from OT and Newhaven. This would your best option. Local buses are also being diverted.

As per previous posters there are many cabs. The Tattoo is well worth the money,

Do the taxis take credit cards?  Or do we need cash?
