These are from Carnival Radiance sailing Feb 28-March4. The last full cruise of mask requirements, and water temps were pool activity prohibitive, and vaccinated (mostly.) Passenger count approx. 1190. So may affect changes in future, perhaps our crruise was scaled back.

Carnival Radiance Fun Times 4- day cruise Long Beach,Catalina, Ensenada, Day at Sea, Long Beach.Mon Feb 28- Fri March 4

These are the copies I picked up at Guest services desk. They are available on Carnival Hub app -  Note the app does allow you to “mark” while in app activities, and if setup cell will push notifications to alert you. I have not compared paper vs. app side by side but have some screen shots of activities. so can comment later.

The Lido Beer Station - BIG NOTE WARNING - no where on here does it state there is a $2.00 fill charge. May have said standard gratuity. What do they have Johnny Five Alive Robot inside serving beer needing a tip??  Too tired last night of cruise to bother with discussing fee. I do not mind tips, but so not recall any statement on this fee, especially for a machine. 76D15702-E1D5-4D8D-A6FC-E5128145C7A6.thumb.jpeg.a9b6e0cd9558f2c4303e66dc21a76b10.jpegC53520E0-9EC1-472C-8408-F033344702F9.thumb.jpeg.f3b72b8f665bb775c1fe62b133aad3cc.jpegC53520E0-9EC1-472C-8408-F033344702F9.thumb.jpeg.f3b72b8f665bb775c1fe62b133aad3cc.jpeg

Carnival Radiance Cucina Del Capitano

Found it- Italian Order sheet for lunch ordering

Paper order sheet at hostess stand, fill out and your are shown to a table, given a number so food may be brought to you.

Prior we filled up beverages and chose desserts from lido buffet below as they do not have a drink station aware of upstairs.

Photos: Paper order sheet, stairway up (note elevator is next to stairs for access), our table - no-one seemed to know about this lunch option. My dessert from lido, and last photo is an almost gone caesar salad, buttered noodle with add ins, focaccia bread, spaghetti bolognese and lasagna. I specified all half portions for us on order sheet.

NOTE: if you look over the soup bowls, under the green topiary is a podium. This is where special dining issues, inquiries about allergies, gluten etc. could be handled there on embarkation day.

Sweet & Sour Shrimp, shrimp were the butterfly style not “shrimp sticks lol” hope this stays as permanent shrimp choice. Heard it was based on availability right now. The rice had no taste. He had the braised beef  brisket said very good but not as tender as pot roast. My husband said the strawberry dessert was awful. I bet that it is sugar free, but the sauce could not rescue the hard cake, and tasted floral. Pass. The melting cake stood up to its chocolatey reputation, very sweet but with a dab of ice cream my go to dessert.

Carnival Radiance Pig & Anchor

Opened at noon on embarkation day, and sea day only. Maybe it was lack of passengers, but our food was only warm. Considering we were there when opened seemed odd.

Of all items preferred pulled pork and baked beans ok. I did not try any sausage, but chicken was drrry, drrry. Potato salad pretty good. Coleslaw tasted still like raw cabbage. We missed second time it was open later in cruise, but said there was better options. We did however use the sitting area many days bringing iur lido meal up there - this is where aluminum foil I folded and carry in my tote bag came in handy. I also bring a leakproof tumbler (tervis, hydroflask bottle) and use the Carnival provided cup to fill with ice in and then cup to fill with beverage. Then put tumbler into my tote- one leas thing to balance. OH bring sweetener packets of sugar with you - they only have a pour sugar dispenser.

The outdoor picnic seating with umbrellas is really a nice add, however those cute birds- they are not so innocent! Just merely raptors in waiting. I turned my back to them and only heard a whoop, whoop and a bird was doing a fly by grabbing what it could off my plate before I knew it! The deck attendants were trying their best to shoe away with trays to no avail. So guard your food. Well of all foods to lose this venue was it. In my opinion.

Clockwise - mac n cheee, dried out brisket, ery dead chicken, collard greens (thought I’d try them) under it oulled pork, potato salad and colealaw (raw cabbage taste really.)

Wait a minute....how do you have a Camp Ocean 2-5 Penguins schedule?  I thought Camp Ocean was closed to those under 6 right now?  We had to forgo cruising this summer because of no Camp Ocean.  Is this new?

We were just exploring, and Camp Ocean had all the flyers in a divided rack. Just took one of each age group. Kind of confusing to have a schedule of activities if that age group not sailing?  Sorry can’t answer question if they did offer that age group. Sailing again mid June so can look.

Someone pointed out to me somewhere else that vaccinated 5 year olds are allowed to attend -- so they probably used the 2-5 schedule just for them.  Thanks for posting the scans.

Appetizer pork tartlet photo. The pork was nice and tender,  I could see ordering multiples along with a salad and fruit plate as a meal. Often I order the tropical fruit plate from dessert menu as an appetizer when other items do-not appeal to me.  The prime rib was excellent for my husband ordering a medium doneness. I ordered medium rare and color was good but had such difficulty cutting it, the waiter offered to cut up my meat !!

This cruise the quality control of creme brulee was unbelievable they served it. The hard sugar layer was a slush of 1/4” liquid, base curdled and did not eat beyond poking spoon into it. I would have returned it, But I had my choc melting cake as a second dessert I ordered.

This is the last night of cruise menu

Decided to try the chicken soup as weathered had turned misty and cool that day. The soup was a nice warm up, but over sold lemon part as not detected, and minimal chicken in it. The cobb salad was best of the main dining salad choices all week. Husband enjoyed the ribs and I ordered the lobster from steakhouse menu. When I was looking for my food photos, I did a double take trying to find the lobster entree, It was not that recognizable as a lobster! It was worst lobster being rubber, difficult to cut as membranes stringy attached to it. The flaming Baked Alaska parade was back. You do not automatically get served baked alaska unless order it.

From one Southern Nevadan to another... MANY THANKS for this post, it's exactly the info I've been looking for. Taking the fam on the same cruise in July. Cheers!!

I hope you can return the favor helping us answer a few questions for our apAug Radiance sailing. It is a rebooked Anniversary cruise from June but husband tested positive. However this cruise my Senior parents sailing with us,

They do not need wheelchairs all the time, but concerned about embarkation with them..

Looking for Long Beach terminal answers .

likely dropping luggage curbside with Seniors

after parking, anyone see carnival pushing wheelchairs while outside terminal?

.2.) Trying for a 10:30 arrival time.

Can a fellow cruiser note when they called boarding order for platinum, or those needing assistance / wheelchair? thanks. (parents are not platinum, but celbrating 61yrs marriage!

3.) arrival and appointment time how long a wait to get inside terminal?

.4.) Any line for handicap when you arrive at terminal building?

All this will be familiar yet new as last sailed Radiance ith only  1100 passengers, expecting it near full+ in Aug.

Thanks for sharing the kids’ program activities. I don’t think I’ve ever seen those. Fingers crossed that the under 5 group will be open when we cruise in January.

You are welcome. We were to sail in June for an Anniversary Cruise on Radiance,  but my husband tested surprisingly covid positive. We are rebooked in Aug.so can answer more questions or verify.

Hey BF we are back... will try to answer your questions. I didn't see Carnival employees pushing wheelchairs outside of the terminal on embarkation day, but definitely saw a few when we were leaving. In terms of the waiting time to get into the terminal, it was zero wait at all at 11am and if you have your boarding passes printed already you'll go straight in. There is a sign at the very end of the line of check-in stations for passengers who require special assistance. It's immediately next to the doorway that you go through once your group is called. If you arrive at 10:30 your biggest issue will be that the porters are still quite busy dealing with people that are exiting the prior cruise, I would think. There is not a designated handicap line for terminal entry; it's split into multiple lines based on your arrival appointment time. There were multiple people on the ship that were traveling with motorized scooters... you could probably rent those for the trip! Hope some of this helps.
